Top green firms recognised

Sri Lanka’s first-ever National Green Awards took place yesterday, branding five leading companies and one school as the ‘greenest’ in the country.

Bodyline (Pvt) Ltd., SriLankan Catering, Heritance Kandalama, Ulagalla Resort and Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. won the gold awards under garment sector, waste management and recycling sector, hotel sector and private and public sector respectively while Ku/Udabadalawa Sudarshana Maha Vidyala in Kurunegala won the gold in the school sector.
