Top engineer and former Brandix CEO Emerick joins Hayleys MGT as CEO

Top mechanical engineer Dr. Emerick Fernando has been appointed as the CEO of Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills Plc.

Dr. Fernando served as the CEO of Brandix Innovation Centre and prior to that served as the CEO of Brandix Apparel Ltd. He has also held the position of Executive Director of Heycarb Plc and has been the founder and Managing Director of Global Software Labs Ltd.

He was a member of the IT Advisory Committee of the Minister of Higher Education and Information Technology and a former member of the management committee of the IT Centre of the University of Peradeniya.

Dr. Fernando holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, India and a Ph.D in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Princeton University , USA.
