Sri Lanka Wood International Expo 2014 in October

Futurex is to hold the second edition of the Sri Lanka Wood International Exhibition 2014 from 3 to 5 October at BMICH, Colombo. The expo is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Sri Lanka Wood Exhibition as the name suggests is a focused exhibition of the wood industry and will showcase the latest technologies and trends in the world along with the machines and finished products related to the wood Industry. There will be multiple workshops on the use of latest machines, tools and products bringing together the entire industry on one platform. Futurex Trade Fair and Events, by organising Sri Lanka Wood, focusses to accelerate the growth of the wood industry of Sri Lanka. This is an initiative for small and medium enterprises to bring them in the main stream and enhance their knowledge into new trends and technologies. It brings together the product suppliers and the buyers related to the industry under one roof making it an ideal opportunity to network and expand the business. On display one can find machines used both in small-scale and commercial productions of timber products and by hobbyists. Besides the machines and hand tools the exhibition will also have other arrays of new technology like laminates, plywood, veneers, particle boards, MDF, wood adhesives, wood polish, wood carving, wooden furniture and many more. With the showcasing of products and services, the exhibition is going to have multiple workshops and demonstrations such as workshop on WPC, which is wood polymer composite and demonstration of latest hand tools and power tools.
