Sri Lanka Telecom, the national telecommunications service provider, gives its customers additional reasons to celebrate during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, one of the most significant festivals for Sri Lankans. Conducted from 25 March to 30 April, SLT’s ‘Avurudu Promotion’ offers a host of special rewards and discounts to new and existing customers for Megaline and Citylink, broadband products, which will be available through Teleshops and SLT Regional Telecom Offices island-wide.
Customers subscribing for new broadband connections during SLT’s ‘Avurudu Promotion’ will have the opportunity to receive discounts up to 100% on monthly rentals for the first two months, purchase four-port Wi-Fi routers for the affordable price of Rs. 1,990 and turn their homes into Wi-Fi zones. Moreover, the start-up fee for new broadband subscriptions will be waived for all Megaline customers during the promotional period, while all broadband customers will enjoy extra usage up to 30GB on any package from the 1 to 30 April at no extra cost. Additionally, all customers purchasing new Megaline and Citylink connections during SLT’s ‘Avurudu Promotion’ will be rewarded with a free thermos mug.
Commenting on the special promotion for the season, SLT Chief Marketing Officer Roshan Kaluarachchi said: “The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is an event which is awaited with much anticipation and as the National telecommunications service provider, SLT takes great pleasure in being a part of the festivities.
