The Sri Lanka-Australia-New Zealand Association (SLANZA) will hold the annual sing-a-long on 25 November at Grand Oriental Hotel as a fund raiser for the cancer wards in Jaffna and Kandy.
SLANZA, which has been in existence for 56 years, annually identifies a service project and make a substantial contribution depending on the needs of the beneficiary.
This year SLANZA has agreed in principle to help the new cancer wards in Kandy and Jaffna hospitals thereby service needy patients in the areas. Last year proceeds from the SLANZA dance were used to donate needy equipment to the National Cancer Hospital.
