Ramani Fernando Training Academy together with Unilever Sri Lanka and City & Guilds opens its branch in Kandy soon, providing all aspiring beauticians in the area to learn and enhance all the knowledge and techniques needed to become a professional beautician.
The academy covers all types of courses in hair and beauty such as diplomas, advanced courses and specialist courses such as tinting, perming, cutting, styling, and bridal dressing, etc. Others aspects such as personal grooming, image building and English will also be covered within the course while a programmes in training skills for those wanting to pursue a career in teaching and training will be conducted as well.
The course will kick start with hair styles and basic make up which will be held during weekends. Advanced cutting and colouring courses are available for those who have recently completed their training as hairdressers or who wish to re-enter the profession after a long absence. The students will have the opportunity to learn advanced skills and different techniques from the academy’s artistic team of trainers and further their knowledge.
A two-day bridal course will be beneficial to persons in salons in Kandy and suburbs who could learn the correct art of this course from Ramani Fernando herself. Learning from the guru herself will be a distinct advantage to all salon owners. The Ramani Fernando Training Academy has tied up with Nail Spa Academy for Nail Technology Courses.
In addition personal grooming and image building courses will be conducted for young entrepreneurs and for companies which are willing to tie up with academy. Clients in Colombo include SLIM, Dialog, No Limit and the Sri Lanka Air Force, to name a few.
All courses are accredited with City & Guilds while the academy is a TVEC registered centre doing NVQ Levels as well.
