The three-day ‘5th Power Sri Lanka 2011 International Expo,’ an international exhibition on power generation, transmission, energy and renewable energy, began yesterday at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre at 10 a.m.
Until 18 June concurrent exhibitions will be held, namely, ‘Renewable Energy Sri Lanka 2011 International Expo’ and ‘E-Power Sri Lanka 2011 International Expo’.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Power and Energy and the Ceylon Electricity Board.
With three exhibitions in one go, the event is a comprehensive exhibition under one roof focused to the entire power and energy sector of Sri Lanka and a perfect international B2B networking platform for all the requirements of the sector.
Minster of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka was the Chief Guest at the ceremonial opening yestedray at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre.
CEMS-Global – USA’ is a multinational exhibition organiser with operations in eight countries and has organised over 30 exhibitions in South and South-East Asia including Sri Lanka.
The company launched operations in Sri Lanka last year as ‘CEMS Lanka’ and organised the ‘Textech Sri Lanka 2010 International Expo’ in March 2010 for the textile and apparel industry of Sri Lanka and also organised ‘Power Sri Lanka 2010’ in June 2010 endorsed by the Ministry of Power and Energy, which was the first-ever international exhibition of Sri Lanka on power and energy.
