Kiribathgoda is the latest suburb to boast of its own ODEL store, following the opening of the 14th outlet of Sri Lanka’s premier fashion and lifestyle brand in the heart of the town.
The latest ODEL store is located at G-3, Udeshi City Shopping Complex, Makola Road, Kiribathgoda, about 80 meters from the clock tower in the Kiribathgoda town. It consists of two floors and 9,000 square feet of trend-defining retail space.
The ‘Gents’ section of the store is located on the ground floor while the ‘Kids’ and ‘Ladies’ sections are located on the upper floor. ODEL Kiribathgoda also has its own Backstage, Embark, Stationery and Souvenir departments.
Extensive parking facilities are available at the location for ODEL customers. The store is open for business on all days of the week from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.
“By strengthening our retail network outside Colombo, we have made the ODEL shopping experience easily accessible to customers in the suburbs,” ODEL CEO Otara Gunewardene said.
ODEL’s Kandy store, which is nearing completion is expected to be opened in April, Gunewardene added.
“The opening of the new ODEL store is welcomed by all shoppers in this area,” said Wasanthi Nilmini, a shopper at ODEL Kiribathgoda. “Although there are many other clothing outlets in the vicinity, the refreshing and unique shopping experience offered by ODEL is unparalleled.”
Customers who received invitations to the opening received a 10 per cent discount as well as an opportunity to participate in a draw at which five lucky winners will win gift vouchers worth Rs. 5,000 each.
The ODEL chain now comprises of stores at Alexandra Place, Kohuwala, Maharagama, Mount Lavinia, Moratuwa, Panadura, Nugegoda (Warehouse), Dickman’s Road, Ja-ela, Majestic City, Crescat (Backstage), Battaramulla, Kiribathgoda and at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
