Nawaloka Construction purchases 20 TATA tippers

Nawaloka Construction Company Ltd. is an organisation that offers multidisciplinary services to suit customer requirements for over 60 years. It has the Category C1 for Building Works and P1 for Piling Works in the ICTAD Grading and is a Member of the NCCASL. Nawaloka Construction recently purchased 20 TATA LPK 1615 Tippers from Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO). These will be used for their ongoing and new projects to strengthen the existing fleet. Nawaloka Construction is involved with piling, high-rise buildings and factory buildings, land development and irrigation works, roads and bridges, water supply schemes and elevated water tanks, etc. The vehicle handing over ceremony was held at their vehicle yard in Kelaniya under the patronage of Nawaloka Construction Company Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa, DIMO Chairman and Managing Director Ranjith Pandithage, DIMO CEO Gahanath Pandithage, TATA Division COO Vijitha Bandara, Nawaloka Construction Company CFO Nishantha Priyanjith, TATA Motors Country Manager Rajiv Jaiswal, TATA Commercial Vehicles DGM Nalinda Kurukulasooriya and Nawaloka Construction Company Manager Building Services Gayan Vadysinghe. TATA LPK 1615/36 8.5CM TIPPER comes with a TATA Cummins 6 BT, 142 hp turbo charged direct diesel engine. It provides much power and better traction in all terrain road conditions. The LPK 1615 tipper has a high fuel efficiency with a low maintenance cost. TATA is the number one commercial vehicle brand in Sri Lanka. Part of this success has been due to the sales and after-sales facilities available island wide, DIMO’s 24-hour roadside assistance for TATA vehicles and superior product performance. TATA vehicles provide convenience, ease of mind and better profitability due to low operational cost and down time. DIMO was recently recognised as the Best Corporate Citizen in Sri Lanka for 2013 during the Annual Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2013 organised by Chamber of Commerce. DIMO was also well acknowledged at the Annual Report Awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (SL), winning awards representing many significant categories. The highlight among the four awards won, was the award received as a Special Recognition Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting. DIMO was the pioneer in Sri Lanka in Integrated Reporting. DIMO was also recognised as the Best in Sri Lanka for Corporate Governance Disclosure, as the Best in Sri Lanka for Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting and won a Gold for Diversified Holdings (Groups up to 05 Subsidiaries).
