Kasun Dayarathne was recently crowned ‘Knight of Robbialac’ by Lankem Paints Ltd. for his superb performance through 2010.

The ‘Knight of Robbialac’ is an annual event held by Lankem Paints each year to recognise and honour the Robbialac sales force and its valued distributors and premiere dealers who are an extended part of the Robbialac family. This year’s event was held at the Cinnamon Lakeside and was a great success.

Among the VIPs present were Lankem Ceylon PLC’s Deputy Chairman S.D.R. Arudpragasam and Managing Director Anushman Rajaratnam, who both spoke about the latest improvements made to the products and the fast growing market share the Robbialac brand enjoys.

Lankem Paints, reputed for manufacturing and marketing its flagship brand ‘Robbialac,’ is today Sri Lanka’s largest 100% local coatings manufacturer and marketer. A pioneer in the local paints industry, it counts more than 25 years of wide ranging experience.

Its portfolio includes decorative, industrial, epoxies, primers, ancillary, anti corrosives, auto refinish and wood care ranges which cater to all needs of the Sri Lankan paints consumer. It recently ventured into the water based wood coatings market in collaboration with a reputed Italian company ALCEA, with its brand ‘Acquashield.’

The Lankem paint factory at Ekala was the first paint manufacturing facility to receive SLS ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management Systems and is also the one and only paint manufacturer as at date in Sri Lanka to be awarded with ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems, in addition to the SLS mark.
