Smiles and thunderous applause filled the hall as Jetwing was awarded a Gold Award at the Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Awards 2011 for the second consecutive year last night.
The award was accepted by Jetwing Group Director Shiromal Cooray from Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne whilst Minister of Power and Energy Champika Ranawaka was also present.
The Award was made all the more sweet, as this time three properties were nominated; Jetwing Beach and Jetwing Sea in Negombo, and the recently released Hunas Falls.
‘It is indeed a great honour to be recognised for all our efforts; it has been a matter of professional and personal privilege to keep all our properties and practices as sustainable as possible’, said Hiran Cooray. ‘The leisure industry as well as us a company and family are growing day by day, and we will continue to remain efficient and sustainable in all ways possible.’
