Holcim Lanka recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.
As a result of the MoU, Holcim will be supporting SLIA by sponsoring their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events.
The forthcoming event for 2015/2016 will be organised by the CPD committee, headed by top Architect Dr. Nishan Wijetunga under the auspices of Chairman, Professional Affairs Board Archt. Janaka Dharmasena and Board members.
Organised by the Professional Affairs Board, the SLIA periodically conducts CPD events as a professional obligation to systematically improve its member’s knowledge and ability in the profession of architecture.
“At Holcim, we continuously invest in the knowledge of our stakeholders. We have access to experts in the field, and often leverage these resource personnel to educate and take a leadership role in hosting awareness programs. This is why we operate as a knowledge hub in inviting our stakeholders to share our best practice,” Thushara Priyadarshana – Head, Innovation and Application Centre – Holcim Lanka said on the occasion. In the past, Holcim Lanka has hosted discussions such as the use of durable concrete for high rise buildings in order to further knowledge in the architecture profession. The Holcim Innovation and Application is a unit dedicated to developing the best solution for customer specific needs. It is here that innovation combines with enhancing customer experiences towards creating solutions that go a long way in enriching the customer experience.
