Throughout December, the t-Lounge by Dilmah will celebrate the season’s time old culinary traditions by pairing festive fare with their signature Christmas tea. The Christmas spread recreates the best of savoury and sweet cuisine with an eclectic twist to the Tea of the Month – a special Christmas tea. The mainstay of the feast is Roast of Lamb glazed with mint jelly served in a crêpe or waffle. A cornerstone of Roman banquets, lamb in the oven is aromatherapy for all and the mint jelly is a great accompaniment to each bite of the moist and succulent meat. Meat lovers should also try the Christmas Stuffing crêpe or waffle. It is a mouth-watering serving of homemade stuffing made from

mince beef, smooth chicken liver, chicken bacon, onions, garlic, raisins, nuts and herbs. This classic sausage meat version with fruit and nuts is full of flavour and texture. The Peppers and Cheese option is especially for vegetarians and is a cheesy crêpe filled with lush peppers. The creamy and buttery flavour of cheese is offset by the spiciness of the peppers. Delectable sweet treats especially made for the season range from the staple slice of Christmas cake slathered with brandy butter to the all time favourite, mince mix crêpe or waffle and the quintessential Christmas cupcake topped with soft-butter cream.
