Well-respected home furniture veteran Naresh Butani has announced that his popular home and hospitality furnishings consultancy, formerly known as Centrepoint Interiors, will now be re-branded as Konsept Centro. The new identity is also in keeping with the consultancy’s soon-to-be unveiled ultra-chic, multi-storey showroom at No. 141, Vijaya Kumaratunga Mawatha, Polhengoda, Colombo 5. Over the past five years, Centrepoint Interiors has worked with homeowners at many of Sri Lanka’s top condominium projects, such as the recently completed Emperor luxury apartment building, in furnishing customer’s apartments to suit their lifestyles. A newly minted joint venture with the Mirama group, which has a 30-year trading history in Sri Lanka, with a wide range of diversified product and service offerings, Konsept Centro also counts Mirama Ceramics as an associate company. Konsept Centro is the newest affiliate of Mirama Group. Speaking about the unveiling of the new Konsept Centro brand, Naresh revealed that this name was envisaged to keep in mind the consultancy’s heightened focus on European and Asian design sensibilities, as witnessed by the brands that it now represents in Sri Lanka. Some of these internationally recognised brands are Germany’s Nolte Kuchen and Dedon outdoor furniture, wardrobe, pantry and cabinet maker Oppein Homes and engineered timber door firm Jinkai, amongst other agencies from Malaysia, Indonesia and China. Meanwhile, the consultancy’s co-founder, Meena Butani said: “Our track record of success, coupled with the trust we have earned from several international players in the global home furnishings arena, with whom we have worked for years, pushed us to take the next logical step and unveil an offering that Sri Lankans have never seen before on their home turf. Or at least never experienced in its full form with item-by-item advice for kitchens, cabinets, wardrobes or even other types of furniture. It will essentially be an advisory for any and all aspects of your home.” Butani also added: “Thanks to the vast experience that we have earned over the last decade or so in the market, I can confidently say that the reason people should come visit us and meet with our dedicated team of consultants and even myself, is to see how much we can improve their lifestyle and standing amongst their peers. A beautiful home is not just a luxury, it is an investment. When you entertain, wonders will be achieved for your professional and social standing and if you choose Konsept Centro, you get much more than just the advice of my team, you also get my personal stamp of approval, guaranteeing the end result, every time.” Also under the new Konsept Centro umbrella falls Hospitality Solutions and Multi Install. Both of these specialised business units offer a wide variety of solutions for Sri Lanka’s hotel and construction industries. Having just implemented a number of flooring solutions; including tiling, engineered flooring, carpeting and solid and vinyl flooring, amongst other, more exotic offerings, Konsept Centro’s Hospitality Solutions and Multi Install units feature the extensive experience and competencies, required to work with international hospitality business-to-business brands such as Amanti, Dekael and CSI, which presently supply a number of giants in the worldwide hotels and resorts and construction sectors. Commenting further, Naresh Butani said: “Over the years I have personally overseen the supply and installation of the highest quality kitchen systems, as well as other products, for high net-worth individuals and very large-scale local construction projects. Most recently, this reputation has only grown with our consultancy installing, in a timely and consistent manner, hundreds of kitchen, bedroom and wardrobe units at high-profile condominiums such as Trillium, Hedges Court, The Empire, The Emperor and (soon to be completed) On320, in addition to the Lobby area of the recently refurbished Taj’s Gateway Airport Garden Hotel.”
