AOD collaborates with UK fashion houses to uplift SL apparel and design industry

Giving thumbs up to a new and emerging creative industry in Sri Lanka, local fashion house Academy of Design (AOD) on Tuesday tied up with the UK via various collaborations to uplift and add value to the budding apparel and design industry in the country.

With hopes of increasing alliance with the EU’s largest creative industry, AOD joined hands with the British High Commission, British Council and UK Trade and Investment to give the extra boost needed to trump the global fashion world as an ethical fashion movement. The tie ups would provide the necessary exposure for the local industry to penetrate and expand its services to other key markets and market segments.
