A new range of televisions from Philips is now available at Abans. The 6000 and 7000 series offers some of the best viewing experiences in 2D and 3D, while still being environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Not only do these televisions have advanced Smart TV functionality and superb picture quality, but they are also designed to save power and cut down on carbon dioxide emissions.

The impeccable picture quality of these series is evident with their high gloss panels that intensify colour and contrast perception. The screen also contributes to the sleek and stunning design of the series, which is characterised by an ultra narrow bezel.  The Soundstage system found in 7000 series also delivers a crisp, pure sound with resonant bass performance.

All the new series are efficiently capable of providing digital content directly to your television screen. Embedded Wi-Fi allows the televisions to easily connect with home networks and the internet. A plethora of apps are also available, as well as access to online video stores and media libraries. These televisions can even be used to make Skype voice and video calls with superb sound and picture performance. All televisions also come with 2D to 3D conversion that adds three dimensional depth to 2D content, even in real time. Philips even offers the possibility of customising the 3D depth level to your personal viewing preference.

The 6000 and 7000 series can also be used for two player full screen gaming for 2D games. Players have the option of making their gaming experience 3D by donning the Philips 3D glasses.

The 6000 and 7000 series televisions come with the two sided Ambilighting feature. The Ambilight automatically adjusts the colour and brightness of the light surrounding the television to match the images on screen, and with its wall adaptive function, the surrounding light can even match the wall colour. Ambilight also creates energy saving within the home. With your television lit by Ambilight, there is no need for any additional room lighting in order to enhance your viewing experience. While an LED lamp may consume about seven watts of power and a halogen lamp about 20 watts, the Ambilight only consumes about three watts of power on average.

The new television series from Philips delivers the kind of performance excellence that is always expected of the brand, with superior picture and sound quality, access to online content and the ability to communicate and play games. They embody all that can be expected from a television with the added benefits of being environmentally conscious while still saving you money. These new series welcome the new frontier in infotainment and environmental responsibility.
