The Management Club of Colombo (TMC Colombo) organised ‘TMC OKTOFEST 2022’ on 7 October 2022 at the California Grill, Galadari Hotel, Colombo. This was the first of a number of events lined up by the new Executive
Committee for the coming year.
TMC Colombo Chairman Dr. Pradeep Edward said TMC members were invited to join along with their guests for this event and it was a successful event with over 50 participants. He mentioned: “I would like to give my appreciation to everyone who joined the event and supported it to make it successful.”
Tickets were priced at Rs. 3,000 per head for members and Rs. 3,500 for non-members, including refreshments and one free beer per person. Participants were encouraged to be attired to match the theme of “Oktoberfest” with the event being on BYOB basis.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by the live band “Faith” with a ticket number based raffle draw with three lucky winners being selected. Gifts were also in store for the best dancing lady and gent, best theme costume competition, business card draw, and many other competitions with gifts being sponsored by Lanka travel mart, Quattro Lino, Hemas Hospitals, and 4D Events.
Project Director and Ceymondu Travel Managing Director Ajeet De Soyza said: “It was the first event for the year 2022/2023 after the election of the new Executive Committee and we had an unforgettable night setting the tone for the events planned for the rest of the year. It was a great opportunity for everyone to meet other TMC members and to network with them.” The main sponsor of the event was Lanka Travel Mart, Sri Lanka’s first and only online marketplace for travel, and in their message to the organisers they stated: “We were happy to be the main sponsor at TMC OKTOFEST and extend our best wishes along with our support to the new committee for a successful year.”
