From 21 March, The Kingsbury gives you the opportunity to savour the wonderful flavours of two contrasting yet flavourful cuisines, at Harbour Court International Cuisine Restaurant and The Grill.
Goût de France at The Grill
Goût de France is celebrated on 21 March in 150 countries, and will bring together over 3,000 restaurants and 150 embassies worldwide. Chefs from around the world will pay tribute to the vitality of French cuisine in a gastronomic celebration like no other.
The Kingsbury joins this global culinary event with a scintillating wine-paired menu by Chef Kithsiri De Silva. Inspired by his experience in France as a trainee in classic French cuisine, Chef Kithsiri has curated a masterpiece menu as a fitting tribute.
Soup
Classic Vichyssoise Soup. Onions, puréed leaks, potatoes, chicken broth and cream.
Salad
Green asparagus and Roquefort terrine mini with tomato coulis, ratatouille-stuffed button mushrooms with pan-fried foie gras and assorted French green beans.
Main
Black Angus tenderloin, Jumbo prawn and roasted breast of duck served with port wine and Béarnaise sauce.
Cheese
Stuffed brie cheese layered with walnut and pistachio puree served with fresh garden greens.
Desserts
Twin of chocolate, hazelnut and whisky pudding, champagne mascarpone pudding, mandarin marmalade sauce and red wine poached pear stuffed with lychee coffee sabayon.
Tea/ coffee with handmade chocolates.
Flavours of Bengal at Harbour Court
As Sri Lankans, curries and spices are a national obsession. The Kingsbury, in collaboration with the High Commission of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka, will give us curry connoisseurs a rare opportunity to experience the wonderful flavours of Bangladeshi cuisine.
Prepared by top chefs from Bangladesh, the tried and tested recipes will be executed to perfection. Shahi Kacchi Biriyan, Saffron Pollao, Prawn Malai Curry, Mughlai Mutton Shank, Vegetable Chana Dal Torkari and Aloo Bokhara Chatni are some of the mouth-watering dishes that will be available.
