Young Members’ Forum gets HNB backing; signs one year sponsorship deal

Hatton National Bank came forward to sponsor the Young Members’ Forum of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for one year.
Under this agreement, HNB will offer financing for chosen activities of the YMF during the upcoming year.
Accordingly, the agreement towards this was signed at the HNB head office in Colombo recently with the participation of senior officials from both institutions.
Alikie Perera Deputy Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Thimal Perera, Deputy General Manager of the Hatton National Bank, Gillian Nugara, President of the YMF and Supun Dias, Senior Manager of Deposit Mobilisation of HNB took part in the signing ceremony.
The YMF has planned a series of activities to be implemented during the ongoing year and among them rank programs on leadership training, SME training, a Speech Craft program, sporting activities, a visit to the Minneriya National park, training on new business development, etc. The Young Members Forum, an initiative of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, was formed to help nurture the younger generation of the country to become future leaders. It currently has over 220 members and most of them are already working in the corporate sector.
