The premier scouting event in the world the 22nd World Scout Jamboree ended with a grand ceremony at Rinkaby in the Kristianstad Municipality in the Southern Sweden on Saturday night.
Japan announced that it will host the 23rd World Scout Jamboree at Mondial in Japan. Announcing its decision officially at the current World Scout Jamboree in Sweden Marina Nakano Chairperson of the Japanese Scout Jamboree Organising Committee said that it would be held at Mondial some 1300 km away from its nuclear site.
Empowered with tools to take home to be better global citizens over 39,000 participants during their 10 day camp they learnt to explore different world faiths and how much in common each faith they encountered daily. It was also an opportunity for them to experience first hand the ability of distinct faith communities to co-exist peacefully and learned how to live in tolerance and harmony.
Speaking among the contingent leaders of over 160 member countries Japanese envoy invited the co-operation of all countries to make it a success in an innovative approach.
