Workshop for self-employed Divi Neguma beneficiaries

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa participated as Chief Guest at a special workshop organised for selected self-employed Divi Neguma beneficiaries from the Colombo District on 19 July at Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda. This workshop was organised in collaboration with the Divi Neguma Department, Department of Manpower and Employment and Colombo District Secretariat.

The purpose of the workshop was to link Divi Neguma beneficiaries with the Export Development Board and private institutions. A Career Fair was also held parallel to this event, aimed at unemployed youth in Colombo with the participation of 70 State and private sector institutions. Ministers Basheer Segu Dawood, Susil Premajayantha and Jeewan Kumarathunga, Deputy Minister Geethanjana Gunawardhana, Western Provincial Council Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Colombo District Secretary Kamal Padmasiri also participated at this occasion.
