By Ashwin Hemmathagama, Our Lobby Correspondent UNP MP Wijeyadasa Rajapakse was denied permission to present a private bill yesterday at Parliament. The proposed bill was aimed to ensure a fair, independent and impartial trail for the judges of the Superior Court in case of resolution for removal and also provide a process for investigation in such removals and for matters connected. With a Government member objecting to MP Wijeyadasa moving the motion, Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody summoned a deviation in the House where 38 votes were received in favour of the Bill and 72 voted against.
