A Vietnamese delegation led by Vietnam-Sri Lanka Friendship Association Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Central Commission for Popularization and Education of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Pham Van Linh visited the Parliament on Tuesday.
During their visit the delegation met with Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa and several other Sri Lanka officials in order to explore the options to further strengthen ties between the two nations which had first established diplomatic relations on 21 July 1970.
The delegation was comprised of Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Small & Medium Enterprises Tô Hoái Nam, Member of Leadership Board of the Vietnam – Sri Lanka Friendship Association, Nguyen Hoanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam – Sri Lanka Friendship Association, Vu Thanh Long, Thanh Long Joint stock Corporation Chairman of the Management Board cum General Director Tran Duc Minh, VUFO Desk Officer of Asia-Africa Department Dang Tien Bai, Thanh Long Joint stock Corporation Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Huy and Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Sri Lanka, Phan Kieu Thu.
