MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara said yesterday that a new party should not be formed as it would be ideal to contest the polls under the name of the Joint Opposition.
The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo yesterday.
“There is no point in forming a new party, we can contest the election with this name under a new symbol,” he added.
He also went on to say that the ownership of the party would be decided after considering the legal background and registration.
