USAID visits shelter for Koslanda landslide victims

Mission Director Sherry Carlin from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) visited today the Poonagala Tea Factory camp that houses victims of the recent Koslanda landslide. Mission Director Sherry Carlin   This new site provides shelter for families directly impacted by the natural disaster. Carlin commended the Sri Lankan military for their efforts to provide short and long-term assistance to people affected by the landslide. She also joined World Vision humanitarian representatives to distribute school kits to children and view the ‘Child Friendly Space’ established with United States Government support through USAID.
