US Congressman Steven Chabot visits Sri Lanka

The United States Embassy in Colombo hosted U.S. Congressman Steven Chabot, Republican from Ohio’s First District, from 27-29 September.

Congressman Chabot is the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia. While in Colombo, Congressman Chabot met with the Minister of External Affairs G. L. Peiris, Members of Parliament including members of the Sri Lanka - U.S. Parliamentary Friendship Committee, civil society leaders and Embassy staff.  Congressman Chabot also visited Jaffna to meet local government officials, members of civil society and toured a USAID project.
