The main opposition United National Party (UNP) says it has not yet decided on its candidate for the Presidential elections.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said that talks on who will be the Presidential candidate to defeat incumbent President Mahinda Rajapaksa are still ongoing.
He says the UNP hopes to work with other political parties who have the same goal as the UNP including abolishing the Executive Presidency.
Attanayake says the UNP is confident the Presidency is breathing its final breath and next year the Executive Presidency will be abolished.
