An accomplice of Khan, 18-year-old Kasim Ahmed, of Main Road, Darnall, had pleaded guilty on 7 July. Both men will be sentenced on Thursday.
Peiris, who was working as a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver after graduating in IT from Sheffield Hallam University, was found stabbed in his car in Southey Crescent, Sheffield, on 27 October 2013.
He was on his last delivery for the day and when he didn’t deliver the pizza the customers alerted the restaurant and his colleagues went looking for him.
It emerged during the trial that the two men had stabbed him repeatedly to steal his mobile phone.
