Two senior Police officers promoted as senior DIGs

The Director of the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID), DIG Ravi Waidyalankara, and the DIG in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), W.R.B. Seneviratne have been promoted to the rank of Senior DIG.

Police Headquarters in a communiqué said the appointments were made based on seniority, upon the Cabinet approval and positions left vacant.

Senior DIG Ravi Waidyalankara joined the Police service in 1979 as a Sub Police Inspector while Senior DIG W.R.B. Seneviratne joined the Police service as a Sub Police Inspector in 1982. (Colombopage)
