Two Buddhist monks have surrendered to the Homagama Police yesterday in connection with the mob attack on the Homagama court premises last Tuesday (26).
One of the monks surrendering was the leader of the Sinhala Ravaya, an ultra-nationalist group that also opposed the arrest of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero for contempt of court.
The Homagama Magistrate remanded the two monks until 9 February.
