Train engine up in flames

A train engine caught fire at Veyangoda while travelling between Matara and Kandy yesterday, the Railway department said. The department said that the train was attached to compartments with passengers inside when it caught fire. A separate engine was dispatched to remove the damaged engine. At least three people were reportedly injured in the fire.
