The tall and short of the story

Sri Lanka had surprising guests on Friday night when Pakistan’s second tallest and shortest men arrived in the country while on their world tour to promote Pakistani culture to Malaysia.

Both men are Pakistani nationals and were captured by our photographer Kumarasiri Prasad at a Negombo hotel. Ali Zaman (48), the shortest, at a height of 39 inches working as an entertainer on Pakistani TV is married to his wife of five feet and has three daughters aged 16, 11 and 6 with the eldest standing at a height of 34 inches. Meanwhile Pakistan’s second tallest man Haq Nawaz at 7 feet 8 inches lives with his two brothers and two sisters. Hailing from the Punjab province Haq consumes 16 rotis, 12 eggs and 4 litres of milk for breakfast while requiring 15 rotis and 3 kilos of chicken for lunch and dinner in addition to several smaller meals. The 24 year old is looking out for a woman over 6 feet from any country. Here  the duo with our corrospondent Kumarasiri Prasad
