The Water Supply and Drainage Board Joint Trade Union Alliance says that all services of the Board will be disrupted today (29) as well.

The joint Trade Union alliance, which held a token strike in the weekend in protest of slashing their bonus, is expected to strike work from 9a.m. to 12 noon today. Trade Union Alliance convener Upali Rathnayake said that the strike would put a halt to many services including issuing bills, obtaining payments and maintenance.

He added that they would reach a decision if a proper solution is not granted after today’s strike.

He condemned the statements of the Water Board Chairman.
