Sujatha Jayawardena memorial oration today

The 8th Sujatha Jayawardena Annual Memorial Oration organized by the Alumni Association of the University of Colombo presented by Mahinda Samarasinghe, Minister of Plantation Industries and Human Rights on “Human Rights : International Challenges for Sri Lanka” will be held today at 5 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute

This oration is organized by the Alumni Association of the University of Colombo in memory of a past president of the association; late Mrs. Sujata Jayawardena, who during her tenure as president worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions of the undergraduates of the university, by spearheading the building of a 5 story hostel in Buller’s Lane - Colombo 7 which houses 550 women undergraduates who come from the rural areas of the country.
