The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka on Wednesday acknowledged the services of students of the Pakistan Culture Education and Urdu Language Centre for developing, composing and presenting the first ever Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.
The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Major General (Retd) Syed Shakeel Hussain presented Certificates of Merit to the students for rendering meritorious service for the Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.
The premier Anthem praising the enduring Pakistan-Sri Lanka friendship was launched in Urdu, Sinhala and Tamil languages for the first time in January 2016 in the gracious presence of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe in Colombo.
The veteran Sri Lankan broadcaster, media consultant and Chairman Kashmir Study Forum Sri Lanka, Mohamed Jamaludeen had written and composed the Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.
