The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) yesterday announced key changes to the party including the appointment of a new General Secretary replacing Hasan Ali. Mansur A. Cader was appointed as the new General Secretary of the SLMC at the party convention today. A rift between Hasan Ali and SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem drew attention when Ali boycotted the SLMC convention last year. (Colombo Gazette)
