Slave Island Peoples Front protests against casino zone

Protests were held in Slave Island Colombo yesterday demanding that the Government cease and desist from establishing a casino zone in the area.

The Slave Island People’s Front organised the protest claiming that a casino zone in the area would result in a moral and cultural degradation in the area. The protestors charged that there were several schools and religious centres in the area that will be directly influenced by the setting up a

casino zone in Colombo 2.
