The Malaysian Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor yesterday received courtesy calls from the first ladies of Sri Lanka and the Kyrgyz Republic and daughter of Bangladesh’s Prime Minister at the Seri Perdana Complex in Putrajaya.
In the first meeting, Rosmah met the wife of Sri Lanka President, Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa for 45 minutes.
Later she received the Kyrgyz Republic President’s wife, Dr. Raisa Atambaeva followed by a meeting with the daughter of Bangladesh Prime Minister, Saima Wazed Hossain.
The dignitaries are currently in Malaysia to attend a seminar on autism starting tomorrow at the Putra International Convention Centre (PICC) which is scheduled to be opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The seminar themed ‘Autism Is Not A Tragedy, Ignorance Is’ focuses on the importance of providing quality intervention to children with autism.
The seminar is organised by the Permata Program with the cooperation of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Autism Speaks, a non-governmental organisation.
