SF challenges Wijeyadasa to reveal links with Avant-Garde

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka yesterday challenged Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe to reveal his connection to the Avant-Garde proprietor within next 48 hours.

Addressing a media briefing, Fonseka alleged that Rajapakshe was behaving as if he did not have any sort of deal with Avant-Garde, but tried to protect its owner from legal actions.

“Rajapakshe was trying to hide the reality of the incident regarding the Avant-Garde vessel and he publicly stated that there was no fault with the ship. I suspect he did so due to the relationship he had with the vessel owner,” he claimed.

Fonseka further said that his next move in relation to the Avant-Garde incident would depend on Rajapakshe’s response to his challenge.
