Peace starts with individual action, and your actions will inspire others. So, what will you do on Peace Day, 21 Sunday September? Who will you make peace with? Calling DJs and promoters around the world to celebrate Peace Day – Saturday 21 September, DJs will be asked to play a ‘set’ in the name of peace and promoters will be asked to dedicate their event to Peace Day. The vision is to hear the DJs of the world, from conflict zones to nightclubs, to the front rooms of our homes, playing a ‘Set for Peace’, raising awareness of Peace Day.  Set for Peace has seen DJs such as Idris Elba, Paul van Dyk, David Morales and Capital FM’s Andi Durrant use their music for peace and spread awareness of international PEACE DAY. 298 DJs in 58 countries supported to launch the pilot initiative Set for Peace in 2013. This Peace Day we are getting involved and using the power of our decks to unite people on the dance floor with the support and backing of Tim Claessen, a prominent DJ/event organiser who has initiated this project in Sri Lanka. He has received the support of pioneer DJs such as Harpo, Jerry and Tareeq of the DJ Academy who have volunteered their time and effort to help spread awareness on Peace Day this Sunday 21 September at Park Street Mews. The event is supported by I Films Sri Lanka which will be covering the event and creating an after movie which will be shared on a global platform showcasing what Sri Lanka did on Peace Day. Set for Peace 2014 will be bigger and better, so if you want to get involved and become part of the biggest peace movement on the planet, contact Tim on 0722066466 and help make a change.
