Seelarathana Thera invites MR to take over Janasetha Peramuna

Unsuccessful candidate and Leader of the Janasetha Peramuna Seelarathana Thera, who criticised Mahinda Rajapaksa during the presidential election, yesterday offered the leadership of his party to the latter.
He made this invitation during a press conference held yesterday in Colombo.
“Former President Rajapaksa does not need to launch a new party if he wants to come back to politics, as I am ready and willing to sacrifice my place as leader of the party to him,” Thera said.
