MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly misusing the vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat was further remanded till 3 May.
He was arrested on 11 May after the CID summoned Gunawardena to record a statement.
The police had recently conceded that they did not have information as to the whereabouts of over 120 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat.
Former External Affairs Monitoring MP Sajin de Vass Gunawaradena who is currently in remand custody was yesterday granted permission by the Colombo Fort Magistrate to attend parliamentary sessions.
Gunawaradene was earlier remanded on charges of misusing vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat during his tenure with the previous Government.
