The Colombo Chief Magistrate yesterday allowed the former United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Sajin de Vass Gunawardena to travel abroad for medical treatment.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya released Gunawardena’s passport temporarily on two sureties of Rs. 10 million each allowing him to travel to Singapore from 25 to 30 October.

The Magistrate also ordered Gunawardena to hand over his passport upon return.
