External Affairs Ministry Secretary Karunatilaka Amunugama has said that Aryasinha has been asked to head the activities on behalf of the country in the UNHRC.
He has noted that the Sri Lankan Government delegation to visit Geneva for the sessions is yet to be named.
However, earlier reports said that the President’s human rights envoy, Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe would head the Sri Lankan delegation at the UNHRC as he has done in the previous sessions.
