Ranil off to attend UK’s Conservative Party Conference

United National Party (UNP) Ranil Wickremasinghe will leave the island for England today to participate in the 2014 Conference of the UK’s Conservative Party.
During the visit Wickremasinghe is scheduled to hold a series of talk with the leaders of the Conservative Party, a statement said.
He is expected to return to Sri Lanka on October 05.
The Conservative conference 2014 got started in Birmingham on Sunday and will continue till October 01.
British Prime Minister David Cameron is the incumbent leader of the Conservative Party, the largest single party in the House of Commons with 305 MPs, governing in coalition with the Liberal Democrats. This is Cameron’s last major party conference before a 2015 election.
