A group of Golden Key depositors yesterday held a protest in front of Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake’s official residence.

The protestors marched along Bauddhaloka Mawatha and handed letters over to the UN Headquarters in Colombo, the Embassy of China and the British High Commission along the way.

The depositors said that the Chief Justice had taken the Golden Key case under her purview because of the complaint by a single depositor even though there were 9000 others seeking relief. The protestors said that since the Chief Justice had taken the case over, they had got no relief.
