Principal dies during military training

The Raddolugama Pangnananda National School Principal died yesterday due to an accident occurred while participating in the military training program for Principals at the Rantambe Cadet Training Camp. According to Ceylon Teachers Union (CTU) General Secretary Joseph Stalin, the deceased Principal – W. A. Wickramasinghe (52) had passed away at the Mahiyangana hospital upon being hospitalised due a fall he suffered in the morning during a physical training session. Stalin said the cause of death was suspected to be a cardiac arrest. The training program for School Principals began at the Rantambe camp about three days ago and upon completion of the training the Principals were to be awarded the Major titles.
