Prez appoints Sec. to Ministry of National Integration and Reconciliation

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Velayuthan Sivagnanasothy as Secretary to the Ministry of National Integration and Reconciliation with effect from 9 November 2016. 

Prior to this, Sivagnanasothy served as Secretary to the Ministry of Prison Reform, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs, Ministry of Plantation Infrastructure Development and Ministry of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development.

The Ministry of National Integration and Reconciliation comes directly under the purview of President Sirisena who is the Minister for National Integration and Reconciliation.
