President visits Nagadeepa Temple, Amman Kovil in Jaffna

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday visited the Nagadeepa Purana Raja Maha Viharaya in Jaffna peninsula.
After participating in a number of official events and ceremonies in Jaffna yesterday, President Rajapaksa visited the Nagapeeda Temple and received blessings from the chief incumbent of the temple venerable Navadagala Padumakiththi Tissa Thera.
President also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 48 ft. Buddha statue in Abhaya Mudra and took time out to chat with the devotees who visited the temple.
The President then went to the Naagapushani Amman Kovil and participated in religious activities.
