President Maithripala Sirisena left yesterday on an official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. During the visit, which will end on 7 April, President Sirisena will meet with President Hussain, hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sharif and meet with other Pakistani dignitaries. President Sirisena and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will witness the signing of several bilateral instruments. The State visit to Pakistan will provide a new dynamic to the bilateral engagement, building upon the excellent relations which exist between the two countries
